Call for Abstracts
Abstract Submission, Review, and Acceptance
The Rheumatology Nurses Society (RNS) invites you to submit your latest rheumatology research, scholarship, practice change, and/or quality improvement projects in an abstract format for the chance to display and present your poster at the 2024 17th Annual RNS Conference, July 17-20, at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to showcase and present your research.

Abstract Submission and Review
Both RNS members and non-members are invited to submit abstracts. The lead author/investigator submits the abstract with the full consent of all authors/investigators and has obtained the necessary institution clearances.
DEADLINE EXTENDED! Abstracts must be submitted using the application below on or before Saturday, June 22, 2024 by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered for the 2024 17th Annual RNS Conference. Please direct questions to events@rnsnurse.org.
The RNS Abstracts and Posters Committee will direct a blind review of all abstract submissions. The abstract will be evaluated for the completion of the requested information, adherence to all instructions, and stated criteria. Multiple abstract submissions are permissible. Notice of the review outcome will be sent to the lead author by Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Presenters grant permission for their photo and poster for inclusion in RNS publications or website unless otherwise stated.

Poster Setup
Abstracts approved for presentation will be assigned a presentation space or a 4’ x 8’ cork display board. Format for the poster presentation should include a creative, visual presentation of the abstract content and should be printed in landscape. The RNS will provide necessary materials to attach posters to boards if needed. Posters will be assigned space by the RNS Abstracts and Posters Committee.

Poster Presentation
Posters may be set up starting the morning of July 17, 2024. Presenters should be ready to present their posters to learners tentatively from 7:00 – 8:00 PM on July 18, 2024. Posters will be open for viewing until Friday morning, July 19, 2024 and must be removed by noon.
The RNS is not responsible for damaged or missing posters. Poster presenters must be registered to attend the full conference. Lead authors are eligible to receive a free conference registration and accommodations for one night at the Grande Lakes Orlando event hotel. There will be only one discount per poster presentation. No travel or other expenses are provided. Presenters are responsible for all expenses incurred for their presentation including, but not limited to, the poster itself and handouts. Presenters must be present at their poster display during the assigned poster presentation times to allow colleagues to ask questions. Exact times are subject to the final program and will be communicated to presenters. The presenter can be someone other than the lead author.
Posters cannot be printed onsite by the RNS.

Prizes & Compensation
If the abstract is selected to present, the lead author will receive a complimentary registration for the 2024 17th Annual RNS Conference and one night complimentary at the Grande Lakes Orlando event hotel.
NOTE: Industry abstracts are not eligible for prizes.

Encore posters previously presented are welcome; however, they are not eligible for any prizes, awards, or free conference registration.
